An Introduction to Funny Animals on the Internet

Humans aren’t the only ones with a sense of humor. Our pets all know how to be funny, as well. There are countless “lolcat” and “loldog” pictures on the internet, as the craze continues to spread around the world wide web. People enjoy placing funny captions on pictures of their pets, although some of the photos are funny enough without captions! Animal lovers have given pets cute nicknames, like “kitteh”, “goggie”, and “bunneh”.

Dogs and cats aren’t the only funny animals on the internet, either. Walruses, or “lolruses”, as some people call them, are also popular animals to give cute captions to. There are online directories and video sites where people can submit images and videos of their pets doing cute and funny things. Although the majority of funny animal pictures are of cats, there are still plenty for other animals as well.

Pets and zoo animals aside, it’s also not uncommon to see cute and humorous pictures of animals in the wild. Non-domesticated felines, such as tigers and lions, can sometimes be seen acting silly. Plus, we can all agree that monkeys can be rather silly. The photos with captions, although obviously written by humans, are usually supposed to be from the animal’s point of view. We all wonder what animals could say if they could talk, and sadly we’ll never know. Therefore, captioning pictures with words we might imagine they’d use in particular situations is the only thing we can do.

The internet is filled with thousands of funny animal pictures and videos, and they are never boring to view. Many would agree that looking at cute, humorous pictures of animals is great for cheering people up. The carefree attitude that pets and other animals feel can be a reminder that life is supposed to be an enjoyable experience for all creatures.
